Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

She is an outstanding professional who takes the time and effort to learn new educational skills thoroughly to the point of expertise. I have watched her spend endless hours of her life , studying and practicing methodologies of multi sensory reading and classroom behavior, rising to a level of expert in all she undertakes. She has also dedicated much time to understanding the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans for special needs students.
