Halloween Weekend Storm In NJ: See Latest Timing, Impacts
A coastal flood warning has been issued in nine counties ahead of another storm expected to move through New Jersey on Friday.
NEW JERSEY — Halloween weekend will have a rainy start on Friday as the second storm to move through New Jersey this week is expected to bring strong wind gusts up to 60 mph with potential for coastal flooding, forecasters said.
A period of heavy rain is possible as early as this afternoon, spreading between 0.5 to 2 inches of rain across the state, with locally higher amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible, the service said.
Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding in creeks, streams and areas with poor drainage after this week's recent storm, the National Weather Service said on Friday.
