PLEASANTVILLE, NJ — Looking to add to your family? Seeking a furry companion? The Atlantic County Animal Shelter is holding their annual “Clear the Shelters” promotion Aug. 10 though 12.

During this time, all adoption fees will be waived, making it a great opportunity for anyone looking for a new pet. The shelter, located in Pleasantville, offers a variety of dogs and cats in all shapes, sizes and breeds. Occasionally, purebred animals are even available for adoption.

“This is our 10th year participating in the nationwide Clear the Shelters pet adoption drive to help match pets with caring owners and help them find the best possible permanent homes,” said County Executive Dennis Levinson. “We have experienced a recent increase in the number of pets in our care, so there are many from which to choose.”
