• 3 Men Sentenced in Atlantic County, NJ, Drug Ring Murders (wobm.com) — A Galloway resident and several others have received long prison sentences tied to a violent Atlantic County drug trafficking ring that included two related killings in 2016 and 2019. Prosecutors say the case connected a Hamilton Mall shooting and a later Atlantic City homicide to a broader narcotics network, with multiple defendants now facing lengthy terms and more sentencings still to come.
   

• Rutgers and Stockton Scientists Join Forces with State Officials and OPT to Restart a Pioneering Marine Observatory (oceannews.com) — Stockton’s Galloway campus will be closely tied to a revived offshore marine observatory that’s expected to boost research, jobs, and innovation along the Jersey Shore. Rutgers, Stockton, and state partners plan to deploy a high-tech buoy off Tuckerton, giving local students hands-on access to cutting-edge ocean data and supporting new coastal resilience and blue-economy projects.
