Pedestrian Killed In Egg Harbor Township Crash: Police
The driver struck a man walking across the Black Horse Pike, police said.
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man walking across Black Horse Pike died Sunday after a vehicle hit him, Egg Harbor Township Police said. Pedro Silva, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred just after 8 p.m. on the westbound Black Horse Pike near the Palermo Avenue intersection in the West Atlantic City section of the township.
Silva was crossing the Black Horse Pike when he walked into the lane of travel and was struck by a vehicle.

Traffic was detoured for about five hours during the investigation. Officer Nick Poletis, Officer Ed Stearns and Sergeant Larry Graham of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit are investigating the crash.
