Poor Air Quality Expected In Galloway This Week
Sensitive groups like children, the elderly and those with respiratory diseases are advised to avoid outdoor activities.

GALLOWAY, NJ — An Air Quality Alert has been issued in Galloway for Monday and Tuesday, meaning that sensitive groups like young children, elderly people and those with respiratory disease should avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) declared July 15 and 16 an "Air Quality Action Day for Ozone" in the South Coastal area.
"Another day of hot and humid conditions is anticipated across New Jersey," the DEP said. "Temperatures in the upper-90s, mostly sunny conditions, and southwesterly winds will allow ozone levels to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) category throughout the majority of New Jersey."
