1 Trapped In Gloucester Twp. Rollover Crash Monday: Fire Officials

The trapped motorist was rescued by first responders following a crash on Blackwood Clementon Road, officials said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A trapped motorist was rescued from a wreckage by first responders following a crash on Blackwood Clementon Road Monday afternoon, authorities said.

At around 4:12 p.m. on Monday, Gloucester Township officers were dispatched to Blackwood Clementon Road by Bethel Church for a report of a two-vehicle crash, police said.

At the scene, it was discovered that one vehicle was overturned with an occupant trapped inside.

The roadway was closed while first responders from Gloucester Township Squad 88, Blackwood Fire Company, Lambs Terrace Fire Company and Chews Landing Fire Department worked to remove the trapped individual.

It was not immediately clear how many individuals were involved in the incident.

Both drivers were transported to an area hospital. Their conditions were not made known as of Tuesday night.

The roadway was reopened about an hour later. The crash is under investigation.
