2 Drivers Charged In Deadly Crash After NJ Man Hit Twice In Road: Police

The first driver who struck him fled the scene, while the second driver waited for police but was unlicensed, authorities said.

VINELAND, NJ — Months after multiple vehicles struck a man in a deadly crash on a Vineland roadway, both drivers were charged on Thursday.

The charges stem from a November crash that killed Michael J. Cimback Jr., 72, of Vineland, authorities said. One driver struck him and fled the scene before a second driver hit him and remained at the location, authorities said.

The first driver — Catalino Marcano, 77, of Vineland — was charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a deadly crash. The second driver — Isahit A. Cabrera-Glavez, 37, of Vineland — was charged with driving a vehicle while unlicensed and caused Cimback's death.

Police responded to the scene around 5:25 p.m. Nov. 7 on W Landis Avenue near Coney Avenue.

Cimback was pushing a shopping cart across the street when a then-unknown vehicle hit him and fled the scene, police said. Authorities later identified Marcano as the driver.

Shortly after, Cabrera-Glavez struck Cimback on the roadway, police said.

Cimback was brought to Inspira Medical Network Vineland, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Cabrera-Glavez, who stayed at the crash scene, was unhurt.

On Thursday, Vineland police also charged a driver for their alleged role in a separate fatal hit-and-run in June.
