3 Deadly Crashes Unfold Within A Few Hours In South Jersey: Officials

Three separate fatal crashes unfolded in the span of a few hours Sunday in Camden and Gloucester counties.

The deadly incidents occurred from the late afternoon to early evening in West Deptford, Voorhees and Bellmawr. One person died in each crash, officials said.

There was also a non-fatal crash during that timespan involving a commercial vehicle and detached boat trailer, which caused significant delays on Route 55 northbound in Deptford, officials said. No other information on the crash was immediately available.

AG Investigating West Deptford Crash

The state attorney general's office is investigating a deadly crash in West Deptford, officials said.

Multiple critical injuries were reported after the crash that happened at 5:46 p.m. around Hessian and Red Bank avenues. One person died in the incident, according to state records.

The Office of Public Integrity & Accountability (OPIA) in the New Jersey Attorney General's Office is investigating the crash. The OPIA investigates deadly incidents involving law enforcement, among other duties. But the circumstances of the crash remain unclear as of this writing. Here's more.

1 Dead, 2 Hurt On I-76

A man was killed and two other people were injured in a crash Sunday on Interstate 76 in Bellmawr, authorities said.

A BMW car rear-ended a Kia SUV at 6:41 p.m. on I-76 East in Bellmawr, according to State Police.

The SUV driver died in the crash, while his passenger sustained moderate injuries, police said. The BMW driver had minor injuries.

1 Dead In Voorhees

The first of the three fatal crashes occurred at 4:20 p.m. on Evesham Road in Voorhees, according to state crash records. A passenger died in the incident.
