Celebrate the start of the New Year by shopping, dining and experiencing Downtown Haddonfield’s much-anticipated 12th annual Winterfest Sale Thursday through Sunday. Snow date is Jan. 27-30. Many of the Downtown’s businesses will be heating up with the year’s latest trends and gifts, while food & beverage establishments offer the tastiest seasonal fare; and visitors will enjoy in-store promotions, specials, discounts, and more. Students and their parents can experience a guided tour of the Battleship New Jersey in Camden, and get a classroom-style lesson during “Abandon Ship!” from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday. This month focuses on what to do if the ship experienced catastrophic damage. Students will be challenged to shore a door and stop flooding, find their life raft, and try on a World War II era life jacket and helmet.
