94-Year-Old Dies In South Jersey Crash Friday: Police

FRANKLINVILLE, NJ - A 94-year-old man from South Jersey died as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash took place at around 2:27 p.m. at the intersection of Delsea Drive and Paul Street in Franklinville, police said.

According to an initial investigation, a 2011 Ford pickup driven by 94-year-old John Haynicz of Monroeville collided with a 2021 Ford Bronco, driven by a 34-year-old man from Sewell.

Haynicz, who was conscious and alert when police arrived at the scene, was transported to Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill and later Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he died of his injuries.

The Sewell man sustained probable head injuries and was transported to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township. His condition was not known Wednesday morning.
