Ambulance Accident Sends Two to the Hospital
The two-vehicle wreck closed Davistown Road for nearly an hour.
A two-vehicle accident involving an ambulance sent two people to the hospital Thursday evening.
The wreck occurred at 7:27 p.m. on the unit block of Davistown Road in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. Police say a vehicle driven by Joaquin Eduardo Martinez, 34, pulled out of a hidden driveway in front of the ambulance and was struck.
Martinez and one of three township EMS personnel in the ambulance were taken by another ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries, police said. A patient being transported to the hospital in the ambulance involved in the crash was not reported injured.

Davistown Road was closed for 45 minutes after the wreck. The accident is under investigation.
