Blackwood Man Charged with Rite Aid Robbery
Police arrested the 29-year-old man shortly after the Friday afternoon robbery in Blackwood.

Police have charged a Blackwood man with robbing the Rite Aid at the Black Horse Pike and Church Street Friday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the Blackwood drugstore at about 2:30 p.m. on a report of a robbery there.
The victim told police the suspect approached him, told him he was armed with a weapon and to give him all the money, according to Gloucester Township Police Sgt. James Garber.

The victim provided police with a description of the robber, who had fled with $600 in robbery proceeds, according to police.
Ptl. John McHugh spotted a male fitting the robbery suspect's description on the Black Horse Pike, just a few blocks from Rite Aid. McHugh noted he had seen the same individual near the drugstore earlier in the day, Garber said in a press release issued late Friday night.

Victor Cruz, 29, whose last known address was on the 1700 block of King Street, was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery. He is being held in Camden County Jail on $50,000 bail.
Police recovered the $600 in robbery proceeds from Cruz, police said.
Cruz nor the officers involved in the arrest were injured.
