Camden County College Wipes Out Tuition Balance For 540 Students

Camden County College is using CARES Act funding it received to wipe out last year's balances for 540 students.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — More than 500 students at Camden County College had the balance of their payments wiped out for the spring, summer and fall 2020 terms, county officials announced.

Camden County College is able to offer this benefit to 540 students after it received $478,619 in institutional Federal CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Funding, officials said. The college is also offering a $5 reduction in tuition for the fall 2021 semester.

“We want to use all of the resources that are available to us to benefit our students and eliminate any barrier that may be keeping them from continuing to pursue their academic goals,” Camden County College President Donald A. Borden said. “The ongoing pandemic has presented us all with numerous challenges. This is one financial challenge that we can help our students overcome in order to get their education back on track.”
