Camden County Health Hub Begins COVID-19 Testing Dec. 20

The Camden County Health Hub will have some testing dates for COVID-19 in December, and begin consistent testing Jan. 3.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Camden County Health Hub in Gloucester Township will offer testing for the coronavirus five days in December, and on a consistent basis beginning Jan. 3, county officials announced.

Testing will take place from Dec. 20-22, and on Dec. 27 and 28, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. each day, officials said. Beginning Jan. 3, the Health Hub will offer testing from 8 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“With cases on the rise, we want to make sure all Camden County residents have access to tests to ensure they can stay safe and healthy,” Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “Getting tested is especially crucial if you plan on gathering with friends or family for the upcoming holidays. Before you interact with anyone outside of your immediate household, please get tested and take all of the necessary precautions, so we can avoid a surge after the holidays.”

The Health Hub is located at Camden County College, 200 College Drive in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. It currently offers COVID-19 vaccinations from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Beginning Jan. 3, hours of operation for the vaccine clinic will shift to 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays.

“If you have not been vaccinated against COVID, you really shouldn’t be attending group gatherings,” Cappelli said. “We all want to things to return to normal and the best way to do that is to get vaccinated. The vaccines are safe, effective and readily available so please, get vaccinated. And if you haven’t received your booster yet, make sure to do so. You can make an appointment at the Camden County Health Hub by visiting www.CamdenCountyVaccine.com.”

As of Thursday, there have been 65,955 coronavirus cases and 1,379 coronavirus-related deaths in Camden County since the pandemic began in March 2020.

As of Thursday, 374,635 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 328,920 are fully vaccinated and 106,544 have received a third dose.

The Camden County Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
