Camden County To Hold Candlelight Vigil For 9/11 Victims Friday

Camden County will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Camden County will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon with a candlelight vigil Friday night.

The ceremony will take place at Veterans Island at Cooper River Park behind LaScala’s Birra Restaurant in Cherry Hill, 7:30 p.m.

It will be hosted by the Camden County Board of Commissioners along with military, veterans and public safety partners.

They will honor all the civilians, first responders, military and their families who were lost or affected by the attacks and the subsequent War on Terror.

The Camden County War on Terror Medal will be presented posthumously to those who lost their loved ones.
