Car Wedged Under Truck After Crash In Gloucester Twp.
A passenger in the car broke the arm after their side of the vehicle got stuck under the tractor trailer, police said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A person broke their arm when a car struck and got stuck under a tractor trailer early Saturday in Gloucester Township, police said.
It happened around 2:20 a.m. at Sicklerville and Garwood roads in Erial.
A preliminary investigation showed the sedan driver failed to see that the tractor trailer was making a left turn, police said. As a result, the sedan began illegally passing the truck before striking the trailer portion, according to law enforcement.

Neither driver was hurt.
The crash caused a fuel tank from the trailer's refrigeration system to leak diesel fuel onto the road, police said. Firefighters and private tow companies helped stabilize and remove the tractor trailer to stop the leaking.
Sicklerville and Garwood roads were closed for several hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
