Charge Filed In Racial Slur Incident At Rowan, President Says
The man who was charged is not a Rowan University student, the president said.

GLASSBORO, NJ — A man was charged after a racial slur was found scrawled across a dorm room door at a Rowan University dorm last weekend, the university stated.
A second man involved has been identified, and information about a third person who was also found to be involved, the university said.
An "active" investigation, by the University's Department of Public Safety and Office of the Dean of Students, began when a student reported that a racial slur was written across her dorm room door, school leaders previously said.

All three people were visiting a Rowan University student when the incident happened, and none of the three are Rowan University students, according to Ali A. Houshmand, the university's president and several other campus leaders.
The charge will be processed through Glassboro Municipal Court, and he and the other identified man will be banned from campus, according to the university.

"Action will be taken against the third when identified," the campus leaders said. "Additionally, the Rowan student who granted access to these visitors also will be held accountable."
