It wasn't immediately clear if or when the Sicklerville eatery will close. Patch contacted Chick-fil-A's corporate office and will update as more information becomes available.

Under the approved plans, Chick-fil-A will add a second drive-thru lane and expand the 4,780-square-foot building by 390 square feet.

The kitchen will grow by 540 square feet to allow for quicker drive-thru service. In turn, the indoor dining area will shrink from 130 seats to 80.

Chick-fil-A will also add canopies to the drive-thru ordering point and the pickup area.

Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A is also building a restaurant by Gloucester Premium Outlets. It's expected to open in late 2026, a company spokesperson told Patch in December. Read more: Chick-Fil-A In Gloucester Twp. Sets Projected Opening
