Craft Beer Festival, Trunk Or Treat Canceled Due To COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the cancelation of two events scheduled for this fall in Gloucester Township.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the cancelation of two events scheduled for this fall in Gloucester Township.

Both the Food and Craft Beer Festival and the township’s Trunk or Treat events have been canceled, according to officials.

“Due to escalating concerns about COVID-19 and vendor hardships, and after careful consideration, Gloucester Township Food and Craft Beer Festival organizers do not believe that the township can safely hold the event this year,” township officials said on Friday. “Recent developments in the pandemic would not only be risky but potentially unsafe for our community, as the event typically draws large crowds and the safety guidelines would be hard to follow and implement.”

“The township has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s festival to protect the health and safety of our attendees, community volunteers and vendors who make this event possible,” township officials said. “Gloucester Township would rather wait for the pandemic condition to improve than attempt to host an event that will not meet the expectations of our community and vendors. The Food and Craft Beer Festival is scheduled to return next year on the second or third weekend of October. Thank you for your understanding, and we will see you next year.”
