Deadly Black Horse Pike Hit-And-Run Driver Sought: Police
The hit-and-run took place Friday evening on Black Horse Pike in Williamstown, Monroe Township police said in a statement.
MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ - Authorities in Gloucester County are seeking the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Friday.
The hit-and-run took place at around 9:32 p.m. on Black Horse Pike in Williamstown near CR 612 (Corkery Lane), Monroe Township police said in a statement.
An initial investigation found that a white Ford was traveling west on Black Horse Pike west of the intersection with Corkery Lane when it struck a pedestrian trying to cross the main road.

After the front right side of the Ford hit the pedestrian, the driver left the scene and continued west onto Black Horse Pike without stopping, police said.
The pedestrian, later identified as a 45-year-old from Williamstown, was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name was not immediately made public.
