Dickey's Barbecue Pit Closes In South Jersey, 1 Year After Opening
The restaurant, part of the world's largest barbecue franchise, opened in September 2022.

SEWELL, NJ — Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Sewell has permanently closed, only a year after opening.
Franchisees Chris and Jennifer Bruno brought the world's largest barbecue franchise to the Washington Center Shoppes in September 2022.
Contributing factors for closing the location included increasing costs, the Bruno's welcoming a new baby, and Chris's prior experience in the steadier, in-demand technology field to fall back on, according to 42 Freeway.
