Driver Found In Pond After Thursday Crash In South Jersey: Cops
The driver was found in a nearby pond Thanksgiving morning with "serious injuries," police said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A Thanksgiving morning car crash resulted in serious injuries for a driver who was found in a nearby pond, authorities said.
At around 3 a.m., Gloucester Township police responded to the Camden County Lakeland Complex for a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area, police said.
At the scene, police officers found an unoccupied sedan and box truck “fully involved” in a parking lot located near the intersection of Woodbury Turnersville Road and Lakeland Road, police said.

After a search of the area, the driver was found in a nearby pond Thanksgiving morning with “serious injuries,” police said. An initial investigation determined that the driver left the vehicle on her own and headed to the adjacent pond, likely due to the vehicle catching fire, police said.
Officers pulled the driver out of the water onto shore where she was treated by EMS and medics. She was then transported to Cooper Hospital for her injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Gloucester Township Serious Crash Investigation Team.
