Free Adoptions This Weekend At Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center
The shelter is teaming up with Best Friends Animal Society for a special holiday event, encouraging people to adopt pets, not shop.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Pet adoption fees are waived this weekend at Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, and there are plenty of cats and dogs hoping to join a new family this holiday.
Homeward Bound and the animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society have teamed up for a holiday adoption event at the Camden County shelter. All adoption fees will be waived on animals at the shelter, located at 125 County House Road in Blackwood.
The adoption center is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Homeward Bound and Best Friends are encouraging people to adopt, not shop, when they're looking for a companion animal to take home. View a list of adoptable dogs here, and click here to see adoptable cats.
“There’s no better way to spread holiday cheer this holiday season than to adopt or foster a shelter pet in need,” said Julie Castle, CEO of Best Friends Animal Society. “By adopting a best friend, you’re giving one lucky dog or cat a home as well as creating space for another pet to be rescued. That means you become a lifesaver to two animals in need and there’s no better gift than that.”

Best Friends has partnered with over 600 shelters and rescues for this holiday campaign, according to Homeward Bound. More than 25,000 pets have already found loving homes at the three previous events around the country.
