NHL Star, Brother To Be Honored By South Jersey Alma Mater Following Deaths In NJ Crash
Gloucester Catholic High School, where both competed before Matthew Gaudreau became coach, will hold a 'Quiet Night of Remembrance.'

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ — The alma mater of NHL star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, will pay tribute to the siblings in the wake of their deaths.
Gloucester Catholic will hold a Quiet Night of Remembrance from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the high school's gymnasium.
"The event is open to the Gloucester Catholic Family and all residents of the Tri-State area to provide an opportunity for all to pay tribute to Johnny and Matt," Gloucester Catholic announced.

A man suspected of intoxicated driving struck and killed Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau last week in Salem County as the pair rode bicycles, according to State Police.
The brothers grew up in Salem County and attended high school at Gloucester Catholic, where both played hockey. Johnny, 31, became a seven-time NHL all-star. Matthew, 29, played in the minor leagues before returning to South Jersey and becoming Gloucester Catholic's head hockey coach.

Those attending Friday's event should come in through the gym entrance on Cumberland Street. Limited parking will be available at Freedom Pier (King and Cumberland streets) and outside of Mary Costello Elementary School (Joy and Cumberland streets).
