Outdoor Concert Postponed Due To Chance Of Thunderstorms In Gloucester Township
Gloucester Township's concert series is now set to begin July 10.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The season-opening show in Gloucester Township's outdoor-concert series has been postponed because of severe weather in the forecast.
Beatlemania Again was set to perform Monday evening, but the show will now begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 14 in Veterans Memorial Park. As it stands, the tribute band is set to cap off the Sounds of Summer 2023 Concert Series.
Gloucester Township's concert series is now set to launch at 7 p.m. July 10, with the Big Bleu Band headlining the first show.

Weather officials predicted an "enhanced chance" of severe thunderstorms in South Jersey on Monday. The National Weather Service expects the storm to travel eastward, bringing potentially hazardous weather from 2-10 p.m. with the greatest chance of severe thunderstorms after 4 p.m.

Here's the National Weather Service's latest forecast for Gloucester Township as of 12:30 p.m. Monday:
- Monday afternoon: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Monday night: Showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between midnight and 2 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog between midnight and 3 a.m. Low around 67. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Tuesday: A chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 11 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
