Gloucester Township Man Allegedly Caught with Illegal Gun in Camden
Police said Gary Lewis tried to stash a gun in a the pocket of a car seat.
A 34-year-old Gloucester Township man was arrested during a traffic stop in Camden last week and charged with having an illegal gun, Camden County police said Wednesday.
Officers said they saw Gary Lewis on Saturday try to stash a 9 mm Ruger, with a defaced serial number, in a pocket behind a the passenger seat in which he was riding. The gun was loaded with six rounds, including one hollow point bullet, police said.
Lewis was held on $125,000 bond.
