Gloucester Township Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

A Glassboro woman has been charged in the hit-and-run death of David Bonnet, 56 of Gloucester Township, authorities said on Thursday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Gloucester Township man was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Pine Hill early Thursday morning, authorities announced.

Pine Hill police responded to the area of Blackwood-Clementon Road and Spring Garden Street for a report of a person lying in the road at 2:23 a.m. Thursday morning, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher Winters.

David Bonnet, 56, of Gloucester Township, was pronounced deceased at the scene, authorities said. Officers spotted a car speeding away from the area. After seeing the car had front-end damage, police stopped the car.

Michaela Ferraiolo, 23, of Glassboro, was taken into custody and charged with one count of second-degree vehicular homicide by operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and one count of second-degree leaving the scene of a fatal accident, in addition to traffic offenses.

Ferraiolo was processed and released under certain conditions pending further court proceedings.
