Gloucester Township Police Hosting Drug Take-Back Day Oct. 23
The goal is to help local residents rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police will host a National Prescription Drug Take-Back event on Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the police department announced.
The goal is to help local residents rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription pills.
Gloucester Township residents who have old prescriptions or over-the-counter medications are encouraged to drop the items into the collection box located at the police station's watch desk, 1261 Chews Landing Road. The police department doesn't accept liquids or syringes.

The Gloucester Township Police Department has a permanent Prescription Drug Box. Citizens can drop off their medication at any time.
