Gloucester Township Woman Beaten To Death With Pipe: Police
Philadelphia police said Jeffery Stepien beat Samantha Maag, 31, of Blenheim to death Wednesday afternoon in a Center City building.

PHILADELPHIA — A 49-year-old man was arrested after beating a Gloucester Township woman to death with a pipe in a Center City building on Wednesday, according to police.
Samantha Maag, 31, of the Blenheim section of the township, was found lying on the floor of the eighth floor of an office building on the 300 block of Chestnut Street at about 2:14 p.m. Wednesday, according to Philadelphia police.
Maag was taken to Jefferson Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 3:16 p.m., police said.
Jeffery Stepien was found next to her, holding two pipes, according to police. He was taken into custody and identified by witnesses as the person who attacked Maag, police said.

Officers found Maag when they arrived at the building in response to a report of a robbery in progress, police said. They learned that a man had attacked a woman, police said.
Maag was struck at least five times in the head from behind, according to 6 ABC. Fox 29 reports that Stepien and Maag victim knew each other and had arguments in the past.
