GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — For the second consecutive year, the Mainstage Center for the Arts in Gloucester Township has canceled its annual Pumpkin Festival due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“With the best of intentions, Mainstage Center for the Arts strived to bring back the annual Blackwood Pumpkin Festival for the 29th year,” the theater company said in a statement. “It is a yearly highlight for us at Mainstage and a truly wonderful local event. We love providing it for our community. Sadly, we find that we do not have the necessary resources and a sufficient number of volunteers to host the event. It is with great regret that we must cancel this year’s festival.”

The theater company thanked their planning committee, as well as their volunteers and sponsors.
