Election Day In Gloucester Twp.: Who's Running, Where To Vote

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 10.

This election cycle includes the race for governor, which includes contested primaries in both the Republican and Democratic primaries.

There are also contested primaries for both major parties in the State Assembly election for New Jersey's 4th legislative district, which includes Gloucester Township.

At the local level, Mayor David Mayer and three Township Council members are running for re-election in uncontested Democratic primaries. No Republicans are running for mayor or council.

Here's what Gloucester Township voters should know before they hit the polls.

When To Vote

Early Voting (June 3-8)

In-person, early voting at seven locations throughout Camden County will be conducted from June 3-8. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Registered voters in Camden County may cast an early vote at any of the county's polling locations:

• Gloucester Township: Elections & Archive Center (100 University Ct., Blackwood; warehouse, side entrance)
• Camden City: Rowan University (129 N Broadway; parking at PNC Bank and street parking available)
• Collingswood: Collingswood Senior Center (30 W Collings Ave.; large living room on first floor)
• Cherry Hill: Cherry Hill Community Center (820 Mercer St.; ramp access from side of building)
• Runnemede: Harry Williams Community Center (2 Broadway; senior room)
• Winslow: Bud Duble Community Center (33 Cooper Folly Rd., Atco)
• Voorhees: Lion's Lake Community Center (101 Dutchtown Rd.)

June 3 – Last Day to Apply for a Mail-In Ballot in the Mail

The deadline to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot that you receive in the mail is June 3. Any registered voter can register for a vote-by mail ballot application.

Send the application to the following address: The Camden County Clerk’s Office, Election Division – Camden County Elections and Archive Center, 100 University Court, Blackwood, New Jersey 08012.

Voters may also apply for a mail-in ballot in-person at the county clerk's office until 3 p.m. June 9.

June 10 – Primary Election Day

This is the final day to cast a ballot for the Primary Election in-person or through a mail-in ballot.

Mail-in ballots must be postmarked, placed in a ballot drop box or delivered to the Board of Elections by 8 p.m. to be counted.

Voters must get in line by 8 p.m. at polling places, which will remain open until all voters in line have cast their ballots.

Do I have to vote for candidates in my registered party?

In the Primary Election, you must vote for candidates in the party with which you are registered. If you have not registered for a party, you must declare a party when voting at your polling location or select one ballot — Democratic or Republican — when voting by mail.

In the General Election, you do not have to vote for candidates in your registered party.
