Last Farmers Market Of Summer Canceled In Gloucester Twp. Due To Forecasted Storms

The farmers market will return in September for the early-autumn sessions.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The last Gloucester Township Farmers Market of the summer was canceled Thursday because of forecasted storms.

The farmers market will return in early fall.

Thunderstorms and flash floods are expected to hit the region Thursday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service. A flood watch is in effect from 2 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.

Gloucester Township split its farmers market into two mini-seasons this year to avoid the summer heat.

The early-summer market kicked off June 26 and ran every Thursday, with July 31 originally scheduled as the session's last day.

The market will return Sept. 11 and run through Oct. 2, taking place from 4-7 p.m. Thursdays at Harwan Park.
