GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Gloucester Township Farmers Market's season will be split in two as it returns to Downtown Blackwood next month.

Instead of holding one continuous market season, the farmers market will offer some early-summer sessions, take a break and then return for early autumn.

The break is intended to avoid the summer heat. Gloucester Township has canceled some of the gathering because of extreme heat in past years.

Gloucester Township's farmers market has experimented with different timeframes and locations in recent years. Last year, the market moved to Veterans Park and ran from June through August after previously operating in July and August at Harwan Park.

However, the weekly market will return to its familiar location in the heart of Blackwood.

Shoppers can expect fresh produce, food trucks and live bands. Attendees should bring their own re-usable bags.
