Gloucester Township police recently destroyed more than 500 pounds of prescription drugs, the police department said in a social media post.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police recently destroyed more than 500 pounds of prescription drugs, the police department said in a social media post.
The prescription drugs were collected from residents at the police department’s prescription drug drop box, located at the watch desk in police headquarters, 1261 Chews Landing Road.
“Please take the time to collect all of your unwanted prescription drugs from medicine cabinets, kitchen drawers, and nightstands,” police said. “Stop by the Gloucester Township Police Department anytime to place them into Project Medicine Drop box located at our Watch Desk.”

The police department doesn’t accept liquids or syringes in their drop box location.
