Gloucester Twp. Police Promote Safe Summer

Gloucester Township Police Department wants you to keep safety in mind as you begin to enjoy your "101 Days of Summer."

The 101 Days of Summer—from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend—can be one of the busiest and most dangerous travel times throughout the nation.

The Police Department wants to assist you in ensuring you have a safe, happy and healthy summer. They remind motorists to obey the speed limit, to not drink and drive and to always watch for pedestrians, and urge parents to spend time talking with their children about appropriate pedestrian and bicycle safety. 

The Police Department will be putting out a number of community relations notices and programs this summer in an effort to help keep you safe. 

Staying connected with the Police Department can help give you the important information to stay safe this summer season. 

Look for these safety-minded community bulletins that will be issued by the Police Department's Community Relations Bureau and published on Gloucester Township Patch throughout the summer:

Help your friends and family stay safe this summer by getting them to sign up for the Gloucester Township Community Notification System by Global Connect. They can sign up by visiting the Gloucester Township website or by sending an email to communityrelations@gtpolice.com.   

Consider having your friends and family list their email address on the attached Community Notification System signup sheet. It will only take a few minutes, and you can move through your "101 days of Summer" with peace of mind knowing that your friends and family will be receiving important safety messages to help make their summer season safe!
