Crowded Election Field Set For Gloucester Twp. School Board Race
9 candidates are running. 3 positions are up for grabs. Here's who filed to run for school board in the Gloucester Township District.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Gloucester Township School Board election will have a crowded campaign field, with nine candidates filing to run for three available positions.
Nancy Fritz is the only board member running for re-election. Board Members Keith Gibbons and Jennifer O'Donnell — the board's current president — did not file petitions to get on the ballot.
Meanwhile, the Black Horse Pike District's Board of Education elections are slated to be uncompetitive. Only the incumbent candidates filed to run for their respective seats: Rob DiMaulo, Sr. in Gloucester Township; Michael Eckmeyer in Bellmawr; and Patricia Wilson in Runnemede, who is also the board's president.

The Black Horse Pike Regional School District serves all three towns from Grades 9-12. Gloucester Township, which represents most of the student body, elects seven of nine board members, while Bellmawr and Runnemede each elect one.
Monday marked the filing deadline for hopefuls to file petitions for candidacy in New Jersey's school board elections, which will be held during General Election Day on Nov. 4.

School board elections are nonpartisan. But candidates can choose a slogan to appear with their name on the ballot.
