GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township will soon have a new option for groceries. Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, a chain of discount supermarkets, will open its Sicklerville store on Thursday.

Grocery Outlet offers traditional brands at lower prices, acquiring items by scoping out overstocks, seasonal closeouts and other savings opportunities. Each store offers a range of products, including fresh produce, meat, deli, daily and an assortment of natural and organic choices.

The Sicklerville store will mark one of South Jersey's first locations.

Each store is owned by independent operators — typically local families. Blake and Becky Maxey, a married couple living in Blackwood, will run the Sicklerville location.

"We are so thrilled to become integral members of the Sicklerville community, offering substantial savings on quality groceries," the Maxeys said in a joint statement. "Through our collaboration with Grocery Outlet, we have the opportunity to expand our business, generate employment opportunities, and, most importantly, contribute to the betterment of our local community."
