Gym Equipment Stolen from Highland

The equipment had been placed outside the school with plans to sell it as scrap to offset the costs of new equipment, police said.

Police are seeking the public's help identifying two men who stole gym equipment from Highland Regional High School property last month.

The thefts occurred on three separate occasions the morning of Sunday, Dec. 18, police said.

There were plans to sell the older, worn gym equipment as scrap metal to offset the costs of new equipment. The stolen equipment included pieces by Icarian, Nautilus, Ibex and Hammer Strength.

The equipment had been placed outside the school building, but close enough so as to not be confused for trash, according to police.

The men who stole the gym equipment were traveling in an older model, two-tone pickup truck with faded paint on its hood. The truck is possibly a late 1980s GMC model, according to police.
