Man Sought On Attempted Murder Charges In Gloucester County

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Several law enforcement agencies were looking for an Atlantic County man regarding a fight in Gloucester County that took place on Friday, police said.

Joshua T. Sammons, 26, of Minotola, was a passenger in a vehicle on Tuckahoe Road in Franklin Township that was being driven by a woman he knew, according to police.

Sammons used a folding knife to stab her in the face, neck, chest, back and arms as she drove, police said.

The victim stopped the vehicle, ran from the vehicle and was ultimately taken to a hospital for treatment, according to police.

Sammons also ran from the vehicle and remained at large as of Monday morning, police said. He faced attempted murder and several weapons charges regarding the incident, police said.
