PITTSGROVE, NJ — A Gloucester Township man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday on a rural South Jersey roadway.

Philippi lost control of his Harley Davidson and struck the rear of another motorcycle as the vehicles traveled east on County Route 540 in Pittsgrove, authorities said.
Philippi's motorcycle then ran off the roadway, down an embankment and into a thick briar patch, Marchan said. Both Philippi and his passenger were flung off the motorcycle.
