National Night Out Returns To Gloucester Twp. With Night Of Family Fun

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — National Night Out is returning to Gloucester Township with multiple celebrations taking place throughout town.

National Night Out is an annual campaign designed to enhance police-community relations during a night of family fun. Thousands of communities celebrate it each year on the first Tuesday of August.

Gloucester Township will have three different public National Night Out events from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday:

• Blackwood Fire Company, Fire District 4 (14 West Central Ave., Blackwood)
• Gloucester Premium Outlets (100 Premium Outlet Dr., Blackwood)
• Erial Fire Company, Fire District 6 (1946 Williamstown Rd., Erial)

Several Neighborhood Watch groups will host their own events, including block parties, cookouts and carnivals.

Residents are asked to lock their doors and turn on their outside lights while out celebrating, police said.
