Discount Supermarket Opening This Week At New South Jersey Location

DEPTFORD, NJ — A new Aldi supermarket is coming soon to Deptford.
The discount grocer's grand opening is set for Dec. 11 at 1755 Deptford Center Rd. But customers will be able to shop the store the day before.
Aldi is one of the nation's fastest-growing grocery chains. The company is known for cost-cutting measures that help lower prices, such as coin-operated shopping carts and displaying products in shipping boxes to cut time on stocking the shelves.

As part of those efforts, the stores used to only carry Aldi-exclusive products. But they recently started carrying some national brands in response to feedback from customers with strong brand preferences.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 8:45 a.m. Dec. 11. The store will open about a half-hour later.

The first 100 customers that day will receive a "Golden Ticket" worth up to $100.
