New Text Tip System Credited for Arrest in Alleged Credit Card Fraud
Gloucester Township police say an anonymous text tip led to charges against a Woodbury woman for allegedly using a credit card from a lost purse.
The new Tips 411 program township police recently rolled out seems to be working just fine.
Lawmen this week credited a new anonymous text-tip service with providing information that led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Woodbury woman accused of theft and fraud for using a lost credit card for purchases.
Crystal Jenkins, of the unit block of Cooper Street, was arrested and charged after a text tip. She was charged with theft, fraud and related charges by Gloucester Township police for allegedly using a lost credit card for purchases. Police say Jenkins was recorded on surveillance video at the Target store on Cross Keys Road on March 16 using a credit card from a lost handbag. The handbag was later found under a pile of clothes in the store.
