NJ Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Gloucester Shooting: Report
A NJ man is charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting that took place outside a Gloucester County bar, per a report.
GLOUCESTER, NJ - A New Jersey man is charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting that took place outside a Gloucester County bar on Saturday, according to a report.
Around 4:45 a.m., police responded to the area of Villari’s Sports Bar in Franklin Township for a report of a gunshot victim, NJ.com reported. Per an affidavit of probable cause obtained by the publication, Walter J. Gilliano, 25, of Franklinville, was found at the scene “providing life-saving techniques” to the gunshot victim.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head, the publication wrote, adding that Gilliano told police he shot the man. Gilliano was arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm without a permit and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He is currently lodged at Salem County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
The shooting was the result of a “verbal altercation,” NJ.com reported. The victim was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden and listed in “extreme critical condition,” the publication added.
