NJ Thanksgiving Underwear Thief Nabbed Thanks To Hidden Camera Footage

A masked man who broke into a NJ home on Thanksgiving was identified by police thanks to a hidden surveillance camera, police said.

GLASSBORO, NJ - A masked man who broke into a New Jersey home on Thanksgiving to take several items from a bedroom drawer, including underwear, was identified by police thanks to a hidden bedroom surveillance camera, police said.

Kyle Jones, 24, of Gloucester County, was charged with burglary, trespassing, and theft in connection with the incident, according to Salem County Jail records.

Jones was first caught on a doorbell camera – with his face covered by a mask – trying to gain entry to a home on Holly Street, Glassboro police said in a statement. The tenants of the residence were not home at the time due to the holiday, police said.

“His face was obscured by a face mask, but once he was inside he let his guard down and was captured on a hidden camera in the victim's bedroom,” Glassboro police said in a statement.

An off-duty Glassboro officer was able to identify Jones after still photos from the bedroom camera recording were distributed to officers, police said.
