On-Duty Gloucester Township Police Officer Arrested
The unnamed officer faces drugs and weapons charges. Gloucester Township Police will release more details later today.
A Gloucester Township Police officer was arrested on drug and weapons charges Tuesday, the department announced this morning.
Authorities are not releasing the officer’s name until a 2:30 p.m. press conference at police headquarters.
Early reports from the indicate the officer was arrested on-duty as the result of an internal investigation run in conjunction with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

The officer is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (third degree), possession of an imitation controlled dangerous substance (third degree), possession of a weapon during a controlled dangerous substance offense (second degree) and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance (third degree).
