Pet Adoptions Only $4 At Blackwood's Homeward Bound Center
The Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center is among several Camden County shelters participating in the 'March Madness' initiative.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — March Madness means pandemonium in college basketball, and it could mean a new home for some animals in Camden County shelters.
Several local shelters, including the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, will celebrate the runup to March Madness by offering $4 adoptions on all dogs, cats and guinea pigs. The special will run through March 19.
"The shelter is full of loving dogs and cats who are just waiting to find a forever home," said Camden County Commissioner Jonathan Young, liaison to the animal shelter. "This is a wonderful opportunity to not only celebrate March Madness, but to open your home and your heart to a new pet in need."

If you're unable to adopt, consider donating $4, as the shelter can always use donations, Young says.
PetSmart adoption centers in Sicklerville, Cherry Hill and Lawnside are also participating in the initiative.
