Pledge-A-Paw Dog Walk At Camden CC Saturday

The sixth annual Pledge-a-Paw Dog Walk to benefit homeless animals will take place at Camden County College this weekend.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The sixth annual Pledge-a-Paw Dog Walk to benefit homeless animals will take place at Camden County College this weekend, officials announced.

The event, sponsored by county officials and the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, takes place on Saturday, Oct. 19, 11 a.m. at the college’s Blackwood Campus, 200 College Drive in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

The event will feature more than 200 walkers, 70 local vendors, and local animal welfare groups. There will also be games, activities and a beer garden. The Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center seeks to raise funds to assist in the care for thousands of homeless animals.

They will be showcasing pets available for immediate adoption in the Camden County Animal Shelter Pet Parade.

“We appreciate the continued support the community offers to the homeless animals of Camden County,” Camden County Freeholder Jonathan L. Young, liaison to the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, said. “Our pets are like family and an event such as this helps us to continue to provide the love and care for so many animals awaiting their forever home.”
