Proposed Chick-Fil-A In Gloucester Twp. Reaches Next Stage
The restaurant, which would go near Gloucester Premium Outlets, passed an initial review. Here's what's next.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A proposed Chick-fil-A received a preliminary nod Tuesday from the Gloucester Township Planning Board and is set for another review next month.
A developer, Main Street MDT LLC, wants to build the restaurant in a vacant lot near Gloucester Premium Outlets. Read more: Chick-Fil-A Proposed For Gloucester Twp.
At Tuesday's meeting, the Planning Board determined that Main Street MDT's application to build the project is complete, meaning the developer included all necessary information for a deeper review.

At Nov. 12's meeting, the board will give the proposed Chick-fil-A a "technical review" — an assessment of whether the project meets zoning regulations.
If approved, Chick-fil-A will go on the corner of Premium Outlets and Zimmerman drives. The 5,400-square-foot eatery would feature multiple drive-thru lanes.

The vacant, paved lot is part of an area in need of redevelopment, according to the township. In August, the Township Council voted to allow Main Street MDT to redevelop the property.
Gloucester Premium Outlets will sell the vacant lot to Main Street MDT, according to township documents.
The nearest Chick-fil-A to the area is 2 miles away, in Turnersville, according to the restaurant chain's website.
